Voluntary Conservation in the U.S. Great Plains

This survey is part of a research project conducted by Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, a nonprofit based out of Fort Collins, CO, to better understand your perspectives on ranch and farm land managers’ willingness to engage in several grassland conservation activities within conservation districts. Ultimately, we will combine this information with maps of key areas to conserve grasslands to help improve our conservation delivery and that of other organizations across the U.S. Great Plains. We estimate that the survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. 

While your responses will be linked to your conservation district, your individual identity will remain completely anonymous. This survey is completely voluntary and you may stop taking the survey at any time. The results from this survey will be shared with you once data collection has concluded and we will share reports with respondents. 

We expect that these results will support NGOs, agencies, and conservation districts by highlighting where conservation efforts are most likely to be successful. Furthermore, these findings can support landowners by highlighting areas where additional technical or financial assistance could be allocated to support both conservation outcomes and producer livelihoods.
